Taiwanese SRT becomes the Series 60 Contractor

Silkroadtaiwan Inc.(SRT) announced today it has signed the Series 60 Contractor agreement with Nokia and became a contractor member of the Series 60 Product Creation Community. Members of the community are companies who will be able to provide handset manufacturers with optimized Series 60 skills and expertise in successful and timely product creation of advanced smart phones.

The Series 60 platform has been quickly adopted by the Symbian OS smart phone manufacturers, and SRT is now offering its expertise in integration Symbian OS, the Series 60 Platform, and localization into a total solution or module design for the Asian market. expressed S.C. The Series 60 Product Creation Community serves those mobile handset manufacturers that have licensed the Series 60 Platform for smart phones. Series 60 Contractors are skilled software development companies who can offer licensees specified technologies and expertise for the Series 60 Platform.

Contractors will be able to fine tune a product creation project with a valuable mix of features and applications or provide specific, targeted telecommunications engineering project work.

SRT has strong commitment to Asian mobile software market. The company is well supported by Asian telecom operators, mobile phone manufacturers, wireless application developers, and academic research centers. SRT specializes in mobile software design, application development, wireless system integration, and hardware/firmware integration on Symbian OS and the Series 60 Platform.

The Series 60 Platform is a software product for smart phones that Nokia licenses to other mobile-handset manufacturers. Manufacturers will be able to integrate Series 60 into their own phone designs running on top of the Symbian OS. The current licensees of Series 60 are Nokia, Panasonic, Samsung, Sendo, and Siemens.
